12-year-old daughter who won an Olympic medal

A 12-year-old girl won an Olympic silver medal today (04).

She is Kokona Hiraki from Japan. The girl won a silver medal in the skateboarding event.

She is the youngest medalist since 1936.

In 1936, at the age of 12, Noel Vandenott of France won two bronze medals in rowing.

Meanwhile, China has won the most gold medals in the sporting events so far. They have won 32 gold medals.

With 22 silver and 16 bronze medals, they have won a total of 70 medals.

The United States has won a total of 77 medals. It includes 25 gold, 30 silver and 22 bronze.

Hosts Japan have won 20 gold medals.
